Nikko shares her experience in overcoming blistering and cracking tile floors

In the past, when it comes to tiling tiles, we often think that we only need to use a mixture of cement mixed with sand and water (also known as cement paste) to be able to paste. However, currently, large format tiles with little or no water absorption are often used, so cement paste is no longer suitable, easily causing blistering and cracking of the tiles after a period of use.

Four years ago, when he first built a house, Mr. Kha said he and his wife were both excited and worried to the point of “losing food and sleep.” When buying everything, the couple chooses very carefully and often prioritizes buying the best products within their means. Especially during the tiling stage, Mr. Kha used all granite tiles sized 60×60 or larger to help the interior space become more luxurious, airy and aesthetic.

However, “life is not like a dream”, after more than 1 year of use, some bricks began to pop, blister, causing discomfort when walking or even falling off the wall for unknown reasons. Mr. Kha then called another construction team for advice and repairs. He learned that today’s tiles are large, heavy, and strong, using oil paste to paste will not ensure adhesion.

He was also advised that a durable tiling surface will be determined by two main factors: tiling material and construction method. In particular, construction using oil slurry has become outdated due to changes in brick characteristics and quality. Oil paste is only suitable for small-sized tiles with many water-absorbing pores, such as ceramic tiles.

Having gone through the “painful” experience of his first house, when building his second house, Mr. Kha proactively researched and asked for advice from the contractor so he learned that tile adhesive overcomes the disadvantages of mortar very well. oil. For the second house, Mr. Kha was confident in buying the right tiles as well as choosing the right quality tile adhesive.

Tile adhesive has a much higher adhesion ability than oil paste thanks to chemical adhesion, can easily install large-sized tiles, withstand many external impacts while still ensuring sustainability such as heat resistance and heat resistance. great pressure, mechanical impact…; Can be pasted on many surfaces such as glass, metal, wood, old brick floors, plaster walls…

Mr. Kha shared that he chose to use Nikko tile adhesive. The product has 2 times higher adhesion and is suitable for both wall and floor surfaces. Therefore, after construction, he felt satisfied with his choice. He also often gives advice to his friends preparing to build houses. In addition to choosing tiles, pay attention to choosing the right type of tile adhesive to have a durable and aesthetically pleasing tiling surface.
