Common problems
Water leak
Factors causing water leakage: – When the foundation is not waterproofed well, it will cause some water seepage problems for the basement. – Walls are not waterproof so water can seep inside even if there are no cracks. – Water can seep through the grouts, or between the bricks if those locations are not waterproofed. – Concrete is a naturally hollow material. Water and air will seep into concrete through small holes, leading to corrosion of the steel reinforcement inside the concrete and long-term structural damage. – Moisture remains on the wall plaster, which is not waterproof. Therefore, over time, stagnant water will penetrate the surface decoration material and cause damage.
Surface is moldy
When the surface is wet, the decorative material on the wall or floor surface will be damaged or moldy.
